History
Heartbeat - an exciting and different close harmony chorus of around 45
extremely talented ladies based in Marple, Cheshire, United Kingdom.
Heartbeat stand out in the crowd because of their wide and diverse
repertoire, covering 4 part Acapella Harmony, Contemporary sounds, and
modern Choral pieces. Their
exciting depth of sound along with award winning
choreography present an
outstanding entertainment experience.
Always keen to raise their standard of excellence, Heartbeat are a
competitive chorus and recent awards include bronze at the Sweet Adeline
Region 31 contest, gold in the Mid-Size chorus category, bronze in the
2009 European Barbershop Convention, and being placed a close second to
the Choir of the Year Westminster Chorus at the world renowned
International Musical Eisteddfod, Llangollen, Wales.
Add to this, their numerous
successes as section winners of the Bangor International Musical
Festival, Sligo International Musical Festival and regional Hazel Grove,
Fleetwood and Biddulph Festivals.
February 2010 saw them take to the stage at the newly renovated Stockport
Plaza with their close friends Cottontown Chorus.
The successful evening also featured multiple award winning
quartet Eu4ia, current LABBS
bronze quartet Miss-Demeanour and 7 piece ensemble Capella, all of whom
have members drawn from the Heartbeat ranks.
